Management Profiles
William R. Cortez, President/CEO is CorTrans
Logistics (CTL) founder and a long time transportation executive who is in
complete charge of providing the vision and growth of CTL. Mr. Cortez was born
in Laredo, Texas, and is a graduate of St. Mary's University where he
obtained his B. A. Previous to starting CorTrans in March, 1999, Mr.
Cortez worked for two separate air freight companies compiling a combined 40
years of experience and expertise in the transportation industry.
He
is a seasoned leader with a proven track record and an authority in
achieving results. As a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Cortez has
achieved recognition and respect in the transportation industry as well as
in his community. Mr. Cortez sits on the National Defense
Transportation Board of Governors in conjunction, and an active
participant, in the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA), and
he is a Corporate Award Recipient for 2003.
Mr. Cortez also sits on the advisory board for the Robert D. Fowler YMCA and
is an active member of the Honor guard of the Knights of Columbus.

John McAllister, Vice President
Government Development is responsible for establishing and advancing the business
relationships between government agencies and CorTrans Logistics (CTL). John
graduated and earned his commission from East Carolina University in
Greenville, N. C., and his Masters Degree from
Georgia College. John comes to CTL after three and a half years with BAX
Global where he was the manager for business development. Prior to that, John
served over 20 years in the United States Air Force in the Transportation
career field where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He brings
tremendous depth of knowledge about Government Transportation and the
Department of Defense.
During the latter part of his term in the Air Force,
John spent four years in the Pentagon working with Headquarters United States
Air Force providing strategic planning, programming and budgeting for Air
Force Transportation. He spent three years with Headquarters Defense Logistics
Agency where he was instrumental in expanding the role of commercial
transportation carriers in moving Department of Defense material both
domestically and globally. During his last three years, John was the
transportation officer at the Defense Distribution Depot Warner Robins,
Georgia (DDWG), where he again expanded the role of the commercial air
industry by introducing several programs that earned DDWG many accolades for
improving DOD transportation.

Al
Borm, Executive Vice President was born
in Eutin, Germany and became a USA citizen prior to joining the United
States Army and serving in Vietnam with the 9th and 25th
infantry. Al is a graduate of DePaul University, where he earned his MBA
and the University of Baltimore, where he received his B.S. in Business
Management. Al also has attended various executive programs at
Northwestern University, which included earning a certificate in
Logistics/Distribution Management.
Al has worked for multi-billion
dollar international manufacturing and distribution companies during his
32 plus years in the business community. He has held senior management
level positions in the areas of Operations, Manufacturing, Finance,
Business Development, Strategic Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions,
Retail Sales, and Logistics/Distribution. Al’s background in logistics
covers both the domestic and international arena. He established the
global logistics department for USG Corporation. Al’s most recent assignments included the
roles of President for Pioneer Roofing, Inc./Hanson Roof Tile Inc. and
President for Oldcastle Retail, Inc. In those roles, he held P&L
accountability for manufacturing and distribution businesses throughout
the United States.

Glenn Hammer, Vice President
Business Development
provides and delivers transportation and information services solutions
tailored to the needs of the CorTrans Logistics (CTL) customers. He is a
graduate of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, a Licensed U.S. Customhouse
Broker and a U. S. Navy (Vietnam) veteran where he served aboard the U.S.S.
Nitro (AE-23). Glen is an experienced transportation manager with nearly
thirty years in both sales and operations. Having worked for major carriers
in the expedited transportation and logistics industry at the senior
management level, he has achieved extraordinary knowledge that covers both
domestic and international markets.

Carl
Nolin, Director of Operations is responsible for all planning and execution of
logistical operations pertaining to the shipment of goods from their
origination point to their final destination. Carl is responsible for
supervising the activities of all operations employees. He joined the
company in 2004 with 28 years of experience in transportation
logistics.
Prior to joining CorTrans Logistics, LLC,
Carl was Operations Manager at a major fortune 500 company in
Atlanta, responsible for air domestic, expedited, and LTL
trucking. Prior to this, he gained experience in logistics over a 24
year period at a domestic and international freight forwarder. He was
responsible for managing air freight and LTL operations respectively.
Ron
Scarazzo, Director of Information Technology
is
responsible for computer and communications systems. Mr. Scarazzo
joined the company in 2006 bringing 22 years of experience with I.T.
departments in companies such as; Siemens AG, EMS Inc, LXE Inc. and
Cabot Corporation. Ron is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor
of Industrial & Systems Engineering. He recently completed a Graduate
Certificate in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of
Management. In his 15 yr. career with Cabot, Ron held positions as
Mfg. Systems Manager, Staff I.T. Manager at the Norcross A&D
Lab, 24x7 Datacenter DBA and Corporate Project Manager. Ron traveled
globally for Cabot managing software development projects and relocated
to Cumming Georgia from Boston, MA in 2001.
Lawrence
Bond, C.P.M., Director of Quality Systems/Special Projects is
responsible for CorTrans' ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System as
well as other operational duties such as driver management, supplier
management, and procurement functions. He has a B.A. degree from Furman
University in Greenville, S.C. and is a Certified Purchasing Manager
from the Institute for Supply Management. Lawrence joined CorTrans in
2005 and prior to this has 10 years professional purchasing experience
most recently as a senior procurement analyst with a multi-national
concrete company.
