September 10-14, 2005
59th Annual NDTA Transportation & Logistics Forum and Exposition
CTL Booth #53
Hyatt Manchester Grand Hotel
San Diego, CA
One of the most anticipated events at the annual
NDTA Forum is the duck competition held to raise money for the
NDTA Scholarship Program. Last year monies raised for this fund
were $5,665.00 This year additional "duck entertainment" was
added to the 2005 Forum line-up - CorTrans "Dunk for Ducks"
Project. The following courageous folks took a dunk in our
dunking booth for the benefit of NDTA's scholarship program:
*CPT Barbara Gray, Training with Industry
Officer, US Airways
*John Joerger, Tanker Project Office, Military Sealift Command
*Mrs. Patricia Young, SES Deputy to the Commander, SDDC
*MG Charles Fletcher, Jr., Commanding General, SDDC
*Bill Cortez, President & CEO CorTrans Logistics, LLC
*LTG Kenneth R. Wykle, USA (Ret), President NDTA
*Mr. Earl Boyanton, Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense
*Mr. Sean Caulfield, Dir. of Business Development/Global and
Defense Sector UPS-SCS
*Ms. Mary Ann Wagner, Pres., XIO Strategies & Vice Pres, NDTA
Foundation
*Mr. John McAllister, Vice Pres. Government Development,
CorTrans Logistics, LLC
*Mr. Phil Nelson, Vice President, R&R Trucking
*LTC John R. Fasching, Joint Staff, J-4 Pentagon
Because of the people above
participating in this project, the companies below making cash contributions,
and the continuing generosity of the NDTA Forum Participants,
the NDTA Scholarship Fund had an all-time record breaking amount
of $12,580.00

On September 2, 2005 on-line duck sales
were at $4,015. The A-35ers took a very aggressive approach
and sold an additional $3,495.00 in monies for the NDTA
Scholarship Fund. CorTrans would like to pay tribute
to all of the A-35ers and CPT Barbara Gray, Training with
Industry Officer, US Airways who was the #1 A-35er selling
the most duck tickets.
